What is a Rapid Refill Ink franchise agreement?
The franchise agreement gives franchisees access to the Rapid Refill Ink operating system, training, support, brand and other attributes. In exchange, the franchisee agrees to certain conditions on how they can operate their business and pays royalties to Rapid Refill Ink based upon the franchise’s revenue. The franchise agreement is a legal document establishing the responsibilities of both franchisees and Rapid Refill Ink and governs our relationship together. The Rapid Refill Ink franchise agreement has an initial term of ten (10) years, and can be renewed for three (3) additional ten (10) year terms.

What are the general requirements for a potential Rapid Refill Ink Franchisee?
At Rapid Refill Ink we are looking for franchisees interested in building a thriving business. Because we have dual channels of revenue – consumer retail and business-to-business – franchisees also must understand the need to provide great customer service, think like a retailer (location, convenience, quality, hours and service), understand how to network and build relationships with a focus on selling to other businesses, and willing to roll up their sleeves and make the business thrive.
Our franchisees come from a wide variety of professional backgrounds and every one of them brings different experiences. A Rapid Refill Ink franchisee requires the dedication and the willingness to learn from those who came before you, following our operating system to drive your business forward.

Do I need to be a computer or printer expert to be a successful franchisee?
Absolutely not! While we do expect Rapid Refill Ink franchisees to have a base knowledge of computers and printers, you do not need to have prior printer repair experience or advanced computer knowledge.

What markets are available for new stores?
Because consumers and businesses in every market across the country print on paper, there is an opportunity to open Rapid Refill Ink stores just about everywhere in the U.S. We have stores coast to coast and north to south across the U.S. Because we are a local, neighborhood based business, major metro areas across the U.S. will have dozens, if not hundreds, of Rapid Refill Ink stores.

Are there different types of Rapid Refill Ink stores?
We have two different types of store configurations. While these are different from a franchisee point of view, the customer interface of each is identical. Franchisees can open either full-service stores (retail in the front of the store and cartridge remanufacturing in the rear of the store) or retail-only stores. Franchisees are free to operate either type of store, or both. Typically, the full-service store supports the retail-only location(s). Each store model operates in the same manner as far as customers are concerned. Customers are greeted in a friendly retail setting by knowledgeable store staff. Business accounts receive great business-direct service. The only difference between the operating models is the physical location where the cartridges are remanufactured.

Can I open more than one location?
Yes. The Rapid Refill Ink franchise opportunity is scalable for multiple units. Our unique Full Service and Retail-Only approach offers franchisees the ability to build multiple units economically as Retail-Only stores can be opened for significantly less than Full Service stores and have the same sales potential. Rapid Refill's current growth strategy is focused on multi-unit development and, as a result, we expect to see a higher concentration of multi-unit franchisees as the system matures.

What is the franchise fee to open a Rapid Refill Ink store?

Does Rapid Refill Ink offer financing to franchisees to open stores?
Rapid Refill Ink does not offer direct financing to franchisees to open stores but we do provide referrals to franchise finance companies that understand our business, have provided financing for other franchise opportunities including Rapid Refill Ink stores, and are interested in helping Rapid Refill Ink franchisees obtain financing. There are many avenues available for financing a Rapid Refill Ink store: direct bank financing, SBA guaranteed financing, home equity lines of credit, 401(k) and other retirement financing, equipment leasing programs, partnerships, friends, and family. We encourage all franchisees to finance their business with a reputable finance company that understands franchising and understands the Rapid Refill Ink business model. There are many options for financing your franchise, you should investigate them all as you conduct your research.
