With Spring Break just weeks away, I have finally decided to upgrade my camera. But buying a camera is so much more confusing than when our only choices were instamatics or 35mm film cameras. (Am I the only person around here that remembers a flash cube?) Luckily, I have a teenage son who knows everything (just ask him) and, honestly, he broke my purchase decision down to just a few key questions:

At Rapid Refill we are happy to recycle and reuse printer toner and ink cartridges. When our customers ask us about where to donate used technology we usually have a number of local and national options. One that makes us especially proud to recommend is Soldier’s Angels and Project KOPEG.

Soldier’s Angels is a volunteer non-profit group that provides aid and comfort to America’s service people during their time of service. Through their donations of care packages, backpacks of supplies for those wounded on the field, blankets, and letters of adoption, they live the value behind their motto: “May No Soldier Go Unloved.”

There was a time when ethical communication behavior was easy to understand. It was unethical to pick up a phone to listen in to your co-worker’s, spouse’s or kid’s conversations. Now that Facebook and other social media sites have blurred the boundaries between private messaging and for-the-world-to-see postings, it is hard to know when lines are being crossed.

The term “creeper” refers to those unseen “friends” who click on pages to read postings, look at pictures and check out profiles. Most social media users know that any friend has the ability to do all of those things. It can be controlled to some extent through your privacy settings in Facebook and being selective about who you friend. But we have all heard about the son or daughter who un-friended their parent due to creeping.
